George C. Gray

George C. Gray 76 of West Salem died on September 11, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. He was born March 3, 1949 in Lodi, Ohio to parents Charles & Gertrude (Brinker) Gray. George married his wife of 45 years Linda Gray on May 5, 1978. Together they owned and operated George’s Alignment for 40 years. George was a very hard worker. He was so passionate about the company that the day he passed he waited until the work day was done before departing this life. George loved his kids and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s sporting events and cheering them on. Some other things George enjoyed doing were, going to the casino, fishing and scratching lottery tickets. If you ever met George, you would have known from the first time meeting him that he was the type of guy who would have given you the shirt off his back and that he never met a stranger.

George leaves behind his children: Loni Bowersock (Bruce Carruth), Vicki (Rock) Frost, Lori Dugan (Nathan Younce), Brian (Lori) Gray and Sue (Scott) Young, grandchildren; Travis (Monica), Rachael (Sam), Zac, Kenzi, Tori, Lexi, Kelsey, Sherridan, Melanie, Lucas, Samantha (Bryan), Andy, Tyler (Emily) and Dawson (Lilly). Eleven great grandchildren; brothers; Dave Gray and John Carter; sisters: Dora Hinkle and Becky Farnsworth and Dog, Jose. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Gray in 2023, his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Memorial visitation for George will be on Wednesday September 17, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem.
