Eugene F Sheridan Sr., 80, of West Salem died Thursday Feb 19, 2015 at Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday February 24, 2015 @ 11:00 a.m. at St Stephen Catholic Church, 44 Britton Street, West Salem with Father Thomas Stock officiating. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 and 6-8 at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem. Burial in West Salem cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at the funeral home website @www.mattesonfh.com.

He was born Sept. 29, 1934 in Cleveland the son of John & Mary Agnes (Cairns) Sheridan.
He graduated from Lincoln High school.
He was a business owner.
He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in West Salem and the Plumber’s Local 55 in Cleveland.
Gene was an avid golfer.
He is survived by 13 children, 20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 siblings.
His wife Pauline who he had been married to for 35 years died Jan 17, 2015
