Erma E. Sheppard 85 of West Salem died Friday August 3, 2012 at Burbank Parke Care Center.
Private services will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery, Homerville. Erma was born August 5, 1926 in Cleveland the daughter of Joseph and Bertha (Nagy) Janicsek.
Erma had worked in Cleveland as a makeup artist and had the pleasure of doing Mae West.
Erma was owner and operator of Erma’s Beauty Shop in West Salem for 50 + years.
She was a former West Salem councilwoman. She enjoyed playing practical jokes on people, designing unusual Christmas lights and floral displays for everyone to enjoy.
She is survived by cousins.
Her parents, husband William Sheppard and a sister Irene Janicsek died previously.
