Edward L Franks

Edward L Franks accepted Jesus’ hand of invitation to “Come” while at his home on Sunday October 30, 2016.
Survived by his wife, Constance (Eicher) Franks, daughters, Amanda Franks and Hannah(& Randy De Oleo) and 2 grandchildren, 2 brothers Joe and Allen Franks of Wooster and several nieces and Nephews.
He was born January 30, 1950 in Wooster to Bazle E & Esther E (Fath) Franks who preceded him in death.
Ed graduated from Northwestern High School and Bluffton University in Social Work.
Before retirement January 1, 2005, he worked for 30 years in the Ohio Dept. of Job and Family Services as an Administrative Manager.
He attended Church of the Saviour, serving as an usher and loved attending his Men’s Bible Study small group. Ed blessed many friends and strangers with his gift of generous giving and hospitality. He worked on several mission trips to Gulf Port, MS in the recovery efforts after Hurricane Katrina.
After his retirement he enjoyed and was very knowledgeable in his hobby and small business with his partner, Walter Dodd. Ed loved playing, refereeing, umpiring and coaching sports. He coached his daughters softball teams. He enjoyed walking with friends at the Gault Recreation Center and he especially loved vacation at Lake Gaston, NC.
No words can truly express the thanks deserved by Joy Schwartzwalder for her amazing care this past year and to all the wonderful help and support from LifeCare Hospice.

Celebration of Life Service will be Friday November 4, 2016 @ 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Saviour, 480 Fry Road, Wooster with Pastors Brent and Jerry Durham officiating. A Meal will follow the services. Visitation will be Thursday 4:00 to 7:00 at the church. Burial will be Friday at 10:00 in Reedsburg Cemetery.
