Douglas J Buchanan Sr

Douglas J Buchanan Sr. of Medina passed away August 1st, 2018 at Medina Hospital. There will be a celebration of life service held at his home in Medina, September 2, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Doug was born in Lodi, Ohio on February 7th, 1955 the son of Frank & Peggy (Dreibelbis) Buchanan. Doug graduated from Northwestern High School in 1974. He had a passion for cooking and baking. Doug also enjoyed Bald Eagles. Doug was employed at Spencer Axle and then at Sandridge Food in Medina in production support for 28 years. He is survived by 3 children, Nicole Buchanan of Parma, Douglas J Buchanan Jr of Medina, Ashley Buchanan of Medina, a grandson, Porter, a granddaughter on the way, Elyse, a brother, Jack Buchanan of Funk and sisters, Sheila White of Arkansas, Sandy Buchanan & Shelly Steele of Wooster. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Randy, Rex, Roger and Ricky Joe Buchanan. Matteson Funeral Home of West Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.
