Dorothy M (Hines) Dickinson

Dorothy M Dickinson, 95 of West Salem died in her home on August 10, 2021. Dorothy was born to parents Elmer & Mildred (Gault) Hines on April 25, 1926. She was married to Chester H Dickinson. She was a homemaker. Dorothy was a member of the West Salem United Methodist Church where she was the custodian for over 50 years. Her hobbies included canning, flower and vegetable gardening.

She leaves behind her children: Steven (Donetta) Dickinson and Sarah (Edward) Lewis; Sisters: Beryl Baum and Betty (Ted) Workinger; grandchildren: Crystal, Joyanna and Shaun Dickinson, Chad(Lindsey), Ryan(Jenn) and Tiffany Lewis and Amber(Curtis) Strong; great grandchildren: Mason, Elliott, Liam and Isaac Lewis. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; six brothers: Robert, Eugene, Donald, Ellsworth, James and Doyle Hines and an infant sister Margaret Hines.

Visitation for Dorothy will be on Monday August 16, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem and a half hour prior to the service at the church.  Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday August 17, 2021 at 10:30 am  at the West Salem United Methodist Church  with Pastors Mark Galbreath and Beryl Baum officiating . The burial will be at Hazzard Cemetery following the service.
