Dayton Ray Sharp

Dayton Ray Sharp, 80 of Sterling died Thursday November 7, 2019 at his home.

He was born November 6, 1939 in Gardian, W. Virginia the son of Sherman Sharp and Bertha Cool.

In his younger years Dayton enjoyed hunting and working in his garden.

He retired in 2002 from Modern Tool & Die in Valley City.

Dayton is survived by his children, John Sharp and Paulette Mann of Sterling, Diane (John) Roberts of West Salem and Nancy Fulk of Perrysville, 9 grandchildren , 13 great grandchildren and several half-brothers and half-sisters.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Annetta Sharp who died July 19, 2003, his parents and a brother, Clayton Cool.

Funeral Service will be Sunday evening November 10, 2019 at 7:00 PM at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Matthew Roberts officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
