David Zacharyasz 72 of West Salem died Sunday Aug. 21, 2011 at his home.
He was born May 20, 1939 in Cleveland. He retired in 1997 from SK Wellman in Brook Park.
His survivors include his wife of 50 years Eileen (nee Gillilan), two sons Steven (Cynthia) Zacharyasz of Medina and Jeffrey (Stephanie) Zacharyasz of Homerville. Grandchildren include Lanea, Nicholas, Michael, Olivia, Kyle, Kevin, Justin, Jacob and Shane. A brother Ralph (Charlotte) Zacharyasz of Norwalk and son-in-law Scott Gaydos of LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his son Kenneth and daughter Tamara.
Friends will be received at the Matteson Funeral home, 40 Congress Street, West Salem Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00. Funeral Mass will be Thursday August 25, 2011 @ 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 44 Britton Street, West Salem. Burial will be Ashland County Memorial Park, Ashland.
