Darrell Henry Ruben died March 2, 2014 at Hospice of North central Ohio.
When Darrell Ruben was born God gave him the breath of life, now he has given up the breath of life to eternal life.
Darrell Ruben was born March 12, 1927 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin to Henry and Evelyn Ruben.
He shared 62 years to a loving and faithful marriage with Lucille. They had vowed until death do us part.
His grandson Richard Littlehales died previously.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille and three daughters, Cheryl (Steve) Sodders, Bonnie (Bill) Littlehales and Susan (Doug) Halke, three grandchildren, Christy Sodders-Abbott and husband John, Nicole Piscitani and husband Frank and Christopher Halke, two great grandchildren, Haley Sodders and Dominic Piscitani.
He served in the Navy in World War II.
He worked in the shipyards and became an electrical draftsman, retired from Murray Ridge Center.
He enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing and helping others.
Friends will be received Wednesday evening March 5, 2014 from 5-8 at the Matteson Funeral Home, West Salem, Ohio. A Private Service will be held by the family. Online condolences may be shared at the funeral home website @www.mattesonfh.com.
