Danny Darrell Murphy 63 of West Salem died Friday Dec. 14, 2012 at his home.

Funeral services will be  Tuesday Dec. 18, 2012 @ 4:00 p.m.   at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with    Pastor James Senz     officiating.  Friends will be receivedTuesday, at the funeral from 2:30 to 4:00 before the services.

He was born June 16, 1949 in Chloe, West Virginia the son of Edward and Manda (Tanner) Murphy.

He had been employed at CSX Transportation
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, forager, carpenter, nature lover, grandfather, father and husband.

He is survived by his wife Stella L Murphy, daughter- Christina F ( David T. ) Smith of West Salem, son, Samuel Keith (Dorothy Leaver) Murphy of  Camden on Gauley, West Virginia,
Danyelle Marie Smith – granddaughter/name sake,  five brothers-  Roscoe E Murphy of  Minora, West Virginia,   Ronzel E. (Lucy) Murphy of West Salem
Donzel D Murphy of   Burbank , Richard L (Patty) Murphy of   Creston,  Leonard D(Sally) Murphy of    Polk,   Sisters- Martha E (Donald) Nelson of Chloe, West Virginia    and Effie C Tucker of  Chesapeake, Virginia


His parents and a brother David Murphy  died previously
