Cora Sue (Lantz) Kern

Cora Sue Kern, 78 died on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Lutheran Village of Ashland. She was born in Gypsy, West Virginia to parents Roscoe Georgia (Hayes) Lantz on June 9, 1942. She was married Stephen Kern, her husband of 49 years on April 14, 1972. She was a homemaker most of her life. Cora enjoyed sewing, quilting and canning in her free time.

Cora leaves behind her husband; 3 sons: Tom (Linda) Kern, William Kern and Robert (Brandy) Kern; 6 grandchildren: Adam, Christine, Meredith, Heather, Dillon and Garret; a brother: Roscoe (Trish) Lantz Jr. She was preceded in death by a son Michael Kern.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday May 27, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Beryl Baum officiating. Friends will be received Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Ashland County Memorial Park. Memorials may be sent to the Ashland Council on Aging, 240 East 3rd St, Ashland, OH 44805.
