Charles A Apidone, 88 of West Salem died Wednesday December 31, 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Mansfield.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be Wednesday January 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephens Catholic Church in West Salem with Father Thomas Stock officiating. Calling hours will be Tuesday 3-7 at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem, Burial in West Salem Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by James Stevenson American Post 499 of West Salem. He was born July 7, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Thomas & Maria (Zito) Apidone.
Charles served in the US Army during WW II.
He retired in 1981 from Cooper & Jarrett Company in Cleveland
He is a Member of St Stephens Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Mackay) Apidone whom he married January 23, 1971, five children, Thomas (Lauren) Apidone, Texas, Charles Apidone of Las Vegas, Nevada, Denice (David) Jacobs of Ashland, John Apidone of Congress and Roy (Debbie) Pavick of Rittman, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
His parents, three brothers, Sam, Anthony and Joe Apidone and two sisters, Mary and Florence died previously.
