Catherine R Shore

Catherine Rosella Shore, 21, of West Salem died October 11, 2019 at Akron City Hospital due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Catherine was born October 9, 1998 in Middleburg Heights to parents Jerone and Heather (Argirakis) Shore. She graduated from Northwestern High School in 2017. She was on the high school soccer team, by whom she was lovingly called “Cat Dog.” Catherine loved all animals, especially the family dog, Savannah, and cat, Luna. She enjoyed working on the farm with Stanley Holmes, whom she thought of as a grandfather. Catherine treasured the time she spent with her extended family.

Catherine is survived by her parents; sister, Helen Shore and boyfriend Zach Rayburn of West Salem; brother, Nathaniel Shore and girlfriend Courtney Dunn of Richmond, Virginia; and grandmothers, Mary Ellen Argirakis of Brunswick, Doris Shore of Brunswick, and Sandy Argirakis of West Salem. She is also survived by Uncles and Aunts Anthony (Kim) Argirakis of Chatham, Steven (Sylvie) Argirakis of Brunswick, and Jeffrey (Joanna) Shore of Boston Heights, and many cousins. Catherine was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Alexander Argirakis and Floyd Shore.

Funeral Service will be Friday October 18, 2019 at 12:00 PM at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Paul Bartholomew officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Mohican Church of the Brethren Cemetery in West Salem, Ohio.
