Carl E Nichols, 72, of Ashland formerly of West Salem died Thursday June 27, 2013 at his home.

He was born October 9, 1940 in Lodi, Ohio the son of Louie & Jessie Ovella (Craig) Nichols.
Carl was a graduate from Cloverleaf High School in Lodi. He enjoyed auctioneering and umpiring ball games.
He is survived by two daughters Selina (JR) Allen of Houston, Texas and Patricia Johnson of Ashland,
seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren, four brothers Kenneth (Janice) Nichols of Nova, Harold Nichols of Polk, Craig (Becky) Nichols of Ashland and John (Joyce) Nichols of West Salem.
His parents, a son and a great granddaughter died previously.
