Carl L Hershey, 98 of West Salem formerly of Ashland died Thursday May 15, 2014 at Hospice of Medina County.
Friends will be received at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem on Sunday May 18, 2014 from 1-3. Private Graveside Services will follow at the West Salem Cemetery with Pastor Robert Holmes officiating.

He was born June 7, 1915 in Congress the son of Charles & Ida (Collins) Hershey.
He was owner and operator of Hershey Barber Shop in Medina from 1950 to 1981.
He was a member of the West Salem Masonic Lodge 398 and a former member of the West Salem Methodist Church.
He is survived by sons, Donald (Becky) Hershey of Wooster and Roger (Marcia) Hershey of West Salem, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and several step children, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
His wives, Helen, Marcine & Naomi, two brothers, step daughter and step grandchildren died previously.,
