Carl E (Dood) Crebs, 77 of West Salem died Sunday evening surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral Services will be Thursday June 2, 2016 @ 1:00 p.m. at the Matteson funeral Home in West Salem with Rev. Margaret Bailey officiating. Friends will be received Wednesday evening 5-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in West Salem Cemetery. He was born December 19, 1938 in Lodi the son of Claude & Viola (McBride) Crebs.
He served in the US Army during Vietnam serving in the Dominion Republic.
He retired in 2001 from Holmes Wayne Electric Company for 46 years.
He was a member of the Amvets Local 149 of Wiggletown.
Dood is survived by his loving wife and soulmate Linda (Burden-Grimwood) Crebs who he married May 17, 1996, children, Lori(Martin)Riffel and Steve Crebs of West Salem, Wendy(Tim) Grimwood of S. Carolina, Robin(Dana)French of Ashville, Ohio and Tammy(Matt)Boehringer of Florida, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
His parents, two sisters, Pauline Bell and Norma Jean Crebs and six brothers, Donald, Kenneth, Raymond, Robert, Charles and Ralph Crebs died previously
