Calvin McCloud Wilcox, 84 of West Salem died Friday November 4, 2016 at Smithville-Western Care Center in Wooster.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday November 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Paul Bartholomew officiating.

Visitation will be Monday 4:00 to 6:00 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services.  Burial in Mohican Church of the Brethren Cemetery, West Salem.

Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association ,Greater East Ohio Area Chapter,70 W. Streetsboro St., Suite 201,Hudson, Ohio 44236.  Online condolences may be shared at the funeral home website at mattesonfh.com.

He was born March 5, 1932 in Wadsworth, Ohio the son of Orlin and Bertha (Stoddard) Wilcox.

He served in the US Army in 1955 to 1957.

He worked on farms in Arizona and Ohio the last farm was Davis-View in Fredericksburg, Ohio.

He had been employed at Ohio Holstein Association for 14 years and had also worked for Firelands Farmer for 14 years.

He was an avid coon hunter and cattleman.  He enjoyed sports.

He was a member of Ohio Holstein Association and attended Red Haw and Mohican Church of the Brethren Churches.

He is survived by his wife, Ina L (Durham) Wilcox whom he married October 24, 1953, children, Mike(Sandy)Wilcox of Sullivan, Vickie Wilcox of the home, and Amy(Marcel)Cook of Round Rock, Texas, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

His parents, daughter, Lu Ann Wilcox brothers, Paul, William and Everett Wilcox and a sister, Evelyn Papenhausen died previously.
