Brian Lee Buxton

Brian Lee Buxton, 41 of West Salem went home to be with the Lord on February 2, 2023 at his home. He was born February 26, 1981 in Wooster the son of Raymond and Rose (McCoy) Buxton. He was Rejoicing that God had saved him. Brian said, “Whenever I get to heaven, I’m going to play golf with my dad.”

Brain was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Braves and Michigan which was his favorite team.  He loved the Puppet ministry, investing in the young people and food. Brian enjoyed telling jokes. He was proud to be the doorkeeper in the house of the Lord at Souls Harbor Apostolic Church.

Although Brian had many health issues and disabilities, he never let that get him down. Brian was determined to be an overcomer even when he was in the hospital. He shared Jesus with anyone who entered his room.

Brian leaves behind, his mother; Rose Buxton and Aunt Jean who he lived with for a short time, siblings; David Crittenden of Logan, Ohio, Kenny Crittenden of West Salem, Sherry Aldridge of Morrisville, West Virginia, Richard (Carly) Buxton of Wellston, Ohio, Dennis (Darla) Dean of Zanesville, Ohio, Denny Buxton of Grafton, Ohio, Tracy (Todd) Booth of Millersburg, Ohio, Rita Legg of North Ridgeville, Ohio, and the Castle (Shelli) Roberts of Cleveland, Ohio, John (Diane) Roberts of Burbank, Ohio, Tammy (Bill) Crawford of Wadsworth, Ohio, Timothy Roberts of West Salem, Ohio, James (Rebecca) Roberts of Wadsworth, Ohio, Matthew (Julia) Roberts of Rittman, Ohio, Daniel Roberts of Wadsworth, Ohio and Rebecca (Samuel) Ray of West Salem, Ohio. Many nieces and nephews but Brian had a special connection to Jessica Buxton, Sierra Buxton, Dalton Yeager and his great niece Natalia Buxton. He adored his daughter Brianna Buxton.

Brian was preceded in death by his dad; Raymond Buxton and his addition parents; Castle and Mary Roberts.

A Memorial Service will be held on February 11, 2023 @ 11:00 a.m. at Souls Harbor Apostolic Church, 25 West Buckeye Street, West Salem, Ohio 44287 with Pastor Samuel Ray officiating. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for contributions towards Brian’s funeral expenses to Souls Harbor Apostolic Church. Matteson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
