Bonnie J. Lewis 88 of Polk died Sunday may 8, 2011 at Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland.
Funeral services will be Sat. May 14, 2011 @ 11:00 a.m. at the Mohican Church of the Brethren, West Salem with Pastor Paul Barthololew officiating.
Friends will be received the Matteson funeral Home in West Salem Friday evening 5:00 to 7:00 and a half hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Mohican Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Mohican Church of the Brethren, 7759 North Elyria Road, West Salem, Ohio 44287.
She was born October 30, 1922 in Lattasburg, Ohio the daughter of Averly and Christie (Gable) Morris.
She graduated in 1942 from the Wooster Business College.
Over the years she had been employed at Dilgard Auto Parts in Ashland as a bookkeeper, Samaritan Hospital as a cleaning lady, Keen Pump in Ashland as a bookkeeper and she retired from West View Manor in Wooster where she was a nurse’s aide.
She is a member of the Mohican Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by three children- Donald Alan (Cynthia) Lewis in Springfield, Ohio, Edward (Sarah) Lewis in West Salem and Freda Rehbein of Bowling Green. Nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Her parents, husband Donald H, Lewis, a daughter Christie J. Casper and two brothers Glen and Elwood Morris died previously.
