Bonnie Ruth (Boatner) Crumley

Together Again
Bonnie Ruth Crumley, 97 of Burbank, Ohio passed away Thursday September 15, 2022.
Bonnie Crumley was born October 25, 1924 in McAlester, Oklahoma one of eight children of Thomas
Elias and Lillie Dale (Williamson) Boatner. In 1940 her father found work in Ohio and the family moved
to Congress, Ohio where she attended high school and met John Crumley. They were married July the 8th
1945. He died May 12th
2010.
She and John enjoyed many years of round dancing and square dancing. They made Florida their winter
home for many years.
Bonnie enjoyed quilting, knitting, oil painting and working on genealogy. She especially enjoyed
spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by sons; Leslie (Liz) Crumley and Jan (Ginger) Crumley, daughters; Linda (Don) Reichert
and Jeanne Neff, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Bonnie is preceded in death by sisters; Edna Garner, Ruby Smith and Winifred
Jones and brothers; Thomas Boatner, Gene Boatner, Buel Boatner and infant brother; Arthur.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 11:00am at the Matteson Funeral Home in
West Salem with Ken Thomas officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral
home. Memorial donations can be made to Congress Cemetery Association, 9705 Martin Road, West
Salem, Ohio 44287 or the Todd Boatner Memorial Scholarship, c/o Northwestern High School, 7473
North Elyria Road, West Salem, Ohio 44287 or Aukerman Church, 12292 Franchester Road, West Salem, Ohio 44287. Online condolences or pictures of Bonnie may be shared
