Anna L (Johnson) Swanson

Anna L. Swanson, 79 of Ashland formerly of Cinnamon Lake, West Salem died Saturday August 6, 2022 at her home.

Anna was born September 5, 1942 in Catlettsburg, Kentucky the daughter of Woodrow and Merron (Trent) Johnson.

Anna married Roger Swanson on October 3, 1960. He preceded her in death on August 14, 2015.

She was seamstress by trade and did sewing for family, friends and the Wayne County Jail in her younger years.  Anna enjoyed church more than anything else in her life and was an active member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed her son and grandchildren and made holidays memorable. She expressed her love of life and belief in God to the world

She is survived by sons; Michael Swanson of West Salem and Robert (Brenda) Swanson of Ashland, grandchildren; five Freddie (Rachel) Swanson, Ben (Amanda) Swanson, Brandon (Cassie) Swanson, Teressa Roar (Jeremy Spoerr) and Jeremy (Nicole) Roar, 14 great grandchildren; brother; Tom (Joyce) Johnson of Wooster and a sister-in-law; Bonnie Geiser.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband; Roger, parents and a brother; Bill Johnson

Funeral Service for Anna will be Thursday August 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in  West Salem with Pastor Jerry Arman officiating. Friends will be received at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem on Wednesday evening 6:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church  Burial in Fairhaven Cemetery.
