Heading Alvin W. Klingler (farmer)
Alvin W Klingler, 77, aka Zeke or Sonnie, of Sullivan went to be with the Lord December 27, 2013. He was born in Wellington, Ohio to Russell & Lydia (Stager) Klingler on October 29, 1936. He is survived by his wife Evelyn (Herold) Klingler. Also surviving are his children, Connie (Mike) Pitz of Sullivan, Debra Billman (Fiancée Owen Sheridan) of West Salem, Mark (Denise) Klingler of Amherst and Russell (Debbie) Klingler of Sullivan. Eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. A brother, Robert E Klingler of Wellington and a sister Barbara King of Youngstown.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Betty Musser, Kate Styer, Marge Halada and Martha Welch.
Alvin retired from General Motors after 25 years of service. He also worked at Landmark in Sullivan, The Sullivan Tin Shop, The Sullivan garage, Leslie Locke and Black River Schools. He was an avid Browns and Indians fan. But family was his reason for living. Alvin also had a passion for restoring tractors.
Friends may call Monday December 30, 2013 , 5-8 at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem. Funeral Service will be Tuesday December 31, 2013 @ 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastors Bob Holmes and Reid Firestone officiating. Burial in South View Cemetery in Sullivan.
