Randy L Buchanan, 69 of West Salem died Monday  March 12, 2018 at his home.

Funeral Services will be Friday March 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM  at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Floyd Costello officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday evening 6:00 to 8:00

Burial in Fair Haven Cemetery where military rite will be conducted by the James Stevenson American Post 499 of West Salem.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Matteson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 314, West Salem, Ohio  44287

He was born in Lodi on March 2, 1949 the son of Frank and Peggy (Dreibelbis) Buchanan.

He attended Northwestern High School.

Randy served in the US Army during the Vietnam War where he received two Purple Hearts.

He retired in 2017 from Bailey Manufacturing in Lodi where is was a foreman for 47 years.

He was a member of Lodi American Legion.

Randy enjoyed spending time with his friends, hunting, bowling and watching NASCAR.

He is survived by his children, Adam (Melanie Norton) Buchanan of West Salem and Dani Buchanan of Wooster, two grandchildren, Ethan and Alexandra, special companion, Rexanne Ramsier, brothers, Jack Buchanan of Funk and Douglas Buchanan of Medina, sisters, Sheila White of Arkansas, Sandy Buchanan and Shelly Steele of Wooster.

His parents, son Heath Buchanan, brothers, Rex, Roger and Ricky Joe died previously
