Mildred Ann “Millie” Billick of Parrish, Florida, and formerly of West Salem, Ohio, passed away late Monday afternoon, November 13, 2017, at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center after a brief illness.

Mrs. Billick was born in Footedale, Pennsylvania, on June 18, 1924, to John and Sylvia (Kuklewicz) Talarczyk, who preceded her in death. She was married to her late husband Anthony Billick, Jr., for 54 years. Their three loving children survive her:  Bonnie (Paul) Jones of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; Anthony Billick III of Houston, Texas; and Joyce (Robert) Schaer of Parrish, Florida. Mrs. Billick is also survived by her five dear grandchildren: Robert Andrew (Lauren) Schaer, Jessica Joy Schaer, P. Hudson (Erin) Jones II, Tiffany Jenyce Jones (Nicholas) Haas, and Cameron Nicole Jones. She delighted in her two great grandchildren: Nicholas Edward Schaer and Arabella Cosette Jones Haas. Her brother and two sisters preceded her in death: John Talarczyk, Blanche Kopacz, and Mary Kantorak.

After Mrs. Billick graduated from German Township High School in McClellandtown, Pennsylvania, she moved to Cleveland, Ohio, for her ten-year career with Ohio Bell Telephone Company, rising to the rank of supervisor. She worked in a variety of companies after her children were born, particularly enjoying her years in the Admissions Office at Ashland University, as a payroll administrator at Velotta & Sons, and as a product demonstrator at Buehler’s Fresh Foods. Following her retirement, she volunteered her time to Meals and More and assisted with parish funeral luncheons at St. Stephen Catholic Church of West Salem, Ohio, through the Ladies Guild. She also proudly served the United States democratic process as a poll worker in Ashland County. Her greatest joy in retirement, though, was cheering on her grandchildren at hundreds of musical and athletic events.

After joining her daughters in Florida 12 years ago, Mrs. Billick was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Community in Lakewood Ranch, where she participated in activities of the St. Clare Women’s Guild. Her family members treasure that she handed down her masterful skills in baking and sewing to the next generations. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends, who maintained regular contact with Millie on Facebook.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Brown & Sons Funeral Home, 5624 26th St SW, Bradenton, Florida, (941) 758-7788.
