Max L Flinn, 90, of West Salem passed away November 7th, 2018 at Burbank Parke Care Center. Max was born in Mineral Wells West Virginia April 25th, 1928 to parents Selvin & Loie (Robinson) Flinn. He attended Parkersburg Schools in West Virginia until he relocated to the Congress area in 1944. Max graduated from Congress High School in 1947 and then started his self-employed career of farming. He married Lois (Coultrip) August 5th, 1956 who preceded him in death June 9th, 2008. Max Leaves behind two children: Jerry (Rita) Flinn, West Salem and Sharon Flinn-Johnson, Wooster; five grandchildren: Brandon, Leah (Saul), Brady, Nathan (Amanda) and Bree; four great-grandchildren: Andrew, Koen, Max and Sam. He was also preceded in death by his parents: Selvin & Loie, Brothers :Elwyn and Clyde Flinn, and Sister Neta Pursley.
Max had memberships to: Ohio Cattleman’s Association, Farm Bureau, Northwestern Ruritans, Congress Community Church, and Wayne County 4-H Beef Committee.
Max’s Funeral Service will be held at Congress Community Church on Sunday November 11th, 2018 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Christopher Cottrel officiating with an hour of visitation prior to the service. The visitation will be at the Matteson Funeral Home from 2:00-6:00 PM on Saturday November 10th, 2018.
