My heart goes out to her family in the passing of this dear loved one. I believe everyone she talked with had to walk away blessed. Her love, concern and compassion for everyone was totally remarkable. You could talk to her about anything and truly felt she cared and she always had an encouraging word. One common thread I hear from everyone who knew her was her ability to make each and everyone of us feel special. That is a God given gift. We all counted her as a personal friend. She always arrived with a smile on her face truly happy to see all of us. I don't think I ever spoke with her that I didn't walk away with a smile on my face. Her quick wit and positive attitude always lifted others up. She felt blessed and she shared that with everyone in her path. She is an inspiration to all of us. Her passing truly saddens my heart but my joy for her is greater in knowing she is reunited with her Lord and the love of her life, Roy. Rest in Peace. Mrs. Wise. We love you and feel blessed to have known you.

Sorry to hear Marlene passed away- I met Roy and Marlene through Woody about thirty some years ago- i really liked Roy and Marlene a lot- had a lot of good times with them and their Nephew Davie, I remember most a black cow named Lighting- I think she was Katheryn cow- she won at Dis-7 show and Wayne CO Fair in 80- she kicked me in the back and Davie in knee- but she beat expensive Triple Threat that dean Davis bought at both shows- I know that met a lot to Roy and Marlene-
they were good people and Davie too.

My favorite Firecracker!!! Folks... Life is about people... Marlene was my favorite Thursday lunch Date for 3 years. We stopped working in the same place and for 2 years I kept saying I was going to go to lunch with her...I didn't. Make time for people that have made an impression on your life... They won't live forever. My Heart was Broken today, as I learned of her passing.
I will always remember how much we laughed together... She had the best stories. Her lunches of cheese, crackers and fruit... And ALWAYS a piece of her homemade pie. How much she loved the Lord, her family (daughters, grandkids and greats) and Her Beloved ROY. She lost part of her foot to a lawn mower way back when, but at 85, she still lived life to the fullest. She helped at the schools and brought joy to the lives of the little kids that needed someone to love them. She was their grandma. She just wanted people to be nice and good and would never swear... Unless....lol. I know today she is the happiest woman ever... She is with Christ and Roy. I love you Marlene and am so sad I didn't see you more. Sorry.

Marlene was such a loving and caring lady. I enjoyed seeing her each week at Cornerstone Elementary. She volunteered for all the right reasons. Not only did she love the students but she also built incredible bonds with the staff. Her no-nonsense approach to problems was loved by all. She had an ornery streak to her that could make you laugh and had many wonderful life stories. We talked about the Cleveland Indians ("those young guys") almost weekly. I have no doubt she is finally happily reunited with Roy in heaven as her love for him never wavered.

It has been my pleasure to talk/listen/learn with Grandma Wise and give her a weekly hug. Her impact on many of us will be felt for a lifetime. She will truly be missed!
Your family is in our prayers.

Mrs. Wise will be missed at Kean Elementary. She was truly a loving influence in the lives of the children. She loved helping them with their reading and math. She helped with anything we needed done. She loves to stay busy and talk about her family. My classroom won't be the same without her.

Marlene was such an inspiration to many. She loved to come to Cornerstone and read to the children. I had the privilege of enjoying lunch with her in the staff lounge and she was a delight to converse with. I will miss her smiling face and warm greetings.
