Karen L Sweany

Karen L. Sweany (Hutton), 68, current resident of West Salem, OH, long time resident of North Canton, OH was reunited with her lord on Monday, September 17, 2018.  Surrounded in love by her family, Husband: John M. Sweany, Son: Mark Sweany, Daughter-in-law: Michele Sweany, Daughter: Megan Travers, Son-in-law: Gabriel Travers, two grandsons, and brothers Kenneth Hutton & Dale Hutton.

Karen was born in 1950 to Ervin and Dorothy Hutton.  During her life, Karen devoted many years to helping people as an LPN.  Karen enjoyed being a youth leader at Lakeview Christian Church for several years before becoming a member of First Christian Church in Canton, OH.  Karen and her husband, John Sweany, recently celebrated their 48^th wedding anniversary.  Karen is an active member of First Christian Church of Canton, OH.  She has devoted her life to her faith, family, and friends.  She enjoyed sharing the Lord with everyone she met.  God’s grace shined radiantly through her actions and words.  She brought hope to many cancer patients as well as the nurses that surrounded her.  She leaves behind a legacy of relationships and she will live forever in the hearts of so many.  She loved her grandsons with all of her heart.  She was tender, sweet, kind, important, beautiful, and loved.  She was quick to tell everyone she met, “God has been so so good to me”.   

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday September 22, 2018 from 2pm-5pm at
