Howard R Hartong Jr.

Howard R Hartong Jr., 61 of Sullivan died peacefully Monday morning June 5, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be Thursday June 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Floyd Costello officiating .Visitation will be two hours prior to the services. He was born October 2, 1955 in Massillon the son of Howard and Isabel(Graves) Hartong Sr.

He graduated in 1974 from Black River High School and had been employed at Spencer Forge & Manufacturing Company as a tool and dye maker.  Howard enjoyed watching the grandkids playing ball, hunting, fishing and trains. He collected Farmall Tractors.

He is survived by his son Jeremy Hartong and his significant  other Misty Williams,  Howard’s significant other Cindi Graves, her son, Matt(Shannon) Graves, grandchildren, Ryan and Abbie, half sister, Donna (Jake)Rogers, sister, Gara(Ronnie)Patton and his brother Everett(Lisa)Hartong

His parents and a brother, Timothy Hartong died previously.
