Edna Ruth (Goff) Ickes

Crestline- Edna Ruth (Goff) Ickes joined her husband of 60 years, Clark W Ickes, January 31, 2019. Ruth was born February 3, 1922 to the late Charles and Alta Goff in West Salem, Ohio. She was the youngest surviving child of 10 children. She is survived by 3 children and their spouses. Charles W.(Betty) Ickes of the Villages in Florida, Patricia L (James) Flood of Marion, Ohio, and John A, (Cynthia) Ickes of Bedford New Hampshire, along with 6 grandchildren and 15 great grand children. She worked at Sears and Roebuck for many years and Martins Hardware in Mansfield until they closed their doors. She enjoyed baking during the holidays for her neighbors and family. She loved traveling in an RV with her husband. She enjoyed feeding her birds, squirrels and chipmunks, as well as any other stray animal that needed a meal. She will be remembered for her giving heart. She loved keeping ALL of her family updated with family events. She was an avid baseball fan as well as other sports. Calling hours will be February 8, 2019 from 1-2 pm with funeral services immediately following at Matteson funeral home in West Salem, Ohio.
