Carol Ambers Obituary

Carol M. Ambers (nee Dietz), loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt to many.

Carol was born December 23, 1929 to Caroline and Ted Dietz in Cleveland, Ohio. Attended Audobon Jr. High and graduated from John Adams High School. She passed away in the home on September 25, 2019. She was a loving wife of almost 51 years to Anthony P. Ambers whom she married November 24, 1949. Carol leaves behind six children: Linda A Dlugo (Thomas), Ted Ambers (Lynn Allison), Nancy Ambers Massar (George Massar), Deborah J Armprester (Eric Armprester), Patricia M Ambers, Clifford P Ambers, PhD; grandchildren: Paul Widar, David Widar, Aaron Ambers (Cameron), Megan Ambers, Caitlin Campbell (Vera Campbell), August Kovacik, Nolan Kovacik, Amber Suttle; nine great grandchildren Cortney Widar, Nathan Widar, Anthony Ambers, Camdon Ambers, Savannah Ambers, Ellis Campbell, Cyan Campbell, Lucca Campbell, Anthony J. Ambers. Carol’s parents, husband, a grandchild, Amber Suttle, and a sister Elizabeth "Jane" Weber and Alfred died previously.  

Funeral Mass for Carol will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the St Stephen Catholic Church, 44 Britton St, West Salem, OH 44287 with Father Thomas Stock officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to All Faiths Pantry PO Box 34239, Parma, Ohio 44134 or Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Rd., Ashland, OH 44805.  Those who wish to share a memory or make an online condolence may do so by visiting mattesonfh.com
