Anna M Dexter, of Homerville, Ohio passed away February 4, 2019 at her home. She was born September 18, 1934 in Wardell, Missouri the daughter of Henry Clay & Daisy (Cannoy) Latham. She Married Homer Dexter July 5, 1955, he preceded her in death July 2002. She was a member of Church of the Open Door, Lodi. She was a founding member of Truth Baptist Church, in West Salem, where she was church secretary for many years. She also taught the Awana’s, as well as working the bus ministry. She worked various jobs, but her most cherished job was raising their seven children. She enjoyed family gatherings & feeding the birds & gardening. She was an avid fan of baseball.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Donna (Melissa), Linda (Bob) Kinney, Robert Dexter, Rhonda (Doug) Johnson, Sally (David) Bonds, Sue (Robert) Bell. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren & 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 7 siblings, an infant son, Randy & a daughter-in-law, Vicki. We would like send a heartfelt thanks to Heather & Trevor for opening their home to Mom & a big thank you to Melissa & Jenn for their care. Funeral Service will be held Thursday February 7, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Joseph Rock officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Burial in West Salem Cemetery. Online condolences can be left for the family at mattesonfh.com.
