John Miller Obituary

John Michael Miller, 60, of West Salem died Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Hospice of Medina County after battling cancer for three years. He was born June 5, 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents John and Hope (Blevins) Miller.

John graduated from Brunswick High school in the class of 1982. After graduation he joined the US Navy where he proudly served then he re-enlisted into the US Air Force retiring after serving his country for 21 years. John was awarded 19 medals of achievement and honor during his time in the military. He had been employed for over 30 years at Webb-Stiles in Valley City, Ohio where he was a supervisor.

John enjoyed swimming in the backyard pool, traveling, and decorating his home for the different holidays. He was a member of the American Legion in Lodi. His hobbies included racing, riding and going to shows with his Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He loved spending time with family and the grandchildren. John was very patriotic and dedicated to his country.

He is survived by his wife; Laura (Weppler) Miller whom he married in 2005, a daughter; Brittany Miller, Mother; Hope Miller, step children; Dwayne (Theresa) Legros, Adam Legros and Rachel Legros, grandchildren; Justin, Seth, Nogi, Wyatt, Milo, Tessa, Dale and Spencer, brothers; Wesley Miller (Doris Sidel) and Paul (Sandra) Miller, niece; Shelby (Brandon) Gilliland and nephew; Wesley (Jasemine) Miller.

John was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Grace Baptist Church, 3480 Laurel Road, Brunswick on April 24, 2024. Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Richard Powers officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
