Herbert H. Norton

Herbert H. Norton 76 of Ashland died on Monday, February 26, 2024 at his home. Herbert was born to parents Clayton & Dorothy (Trigg) Norton on June 9th, 1947 in Lodi, Ohio. He graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 1966. Then directly after graduation he was drafted in the US Army and served honorably during the Vietnam Conflict. After he came home Herbert worked at Gowe Printing in graphics for 20 years. Then at Premium Building Products in West Salem. When his kids were in school Herbert was always there helping coach their little league sports teams. Herbert was a member of the Ashland Eagles for 12 years, was an avid collector of Hot Wheels and Legos and enjoyed watching the Browns and Indians sports teams.

Herbert leaves behind his children: Shawn (Kristy) Norton of Rittman, Scott (Caron) Norton of Lewes, Delaware, Michael Norton of Ashland and Melanie (Adam Buchanan) Norton of West Salem; grandchildren: Jacob Norton, Logan Norton, Myrissa Norton, Chase Norton and C.J. Norton; great granddaughter: Alaina Norton and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins; siblings: Laura Haines of Wooster, Clifford (Lisa) Norton of Medina, William (Edith) Norton of Rittman and his constant companion, his cat Jake. He was preceded in death by his parents and dear friend, Carole Kowatch.

 A Celebration of Life for Herbert will be Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM at The Pavilion at the Ashland Eagles Club, 400 Eastlake Drive, Ashland, Ohio.
