Alice Moyers McDaniel age 87 entered her eternal home in heaven January 13, 2024 to be with Jesus, her relatives and many friends. Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people. Alice was born July 20, 1936 to H Bell and Lucy (Spicer) Moyers in Flower, West Virginia. She completed her public schooling in Cedarville, West Virginia.
Alice moved to Ashland in the mid fifties with her family. She was employed at National Latex for several years before her wedding 61 years ago to the love of her life Louis. To this union were born two very much loved sons: Roy and Martin McDaniel. Alice was a most faithful wife and caring mother. As a member of the Grace Brethren Church of Homerville where among her many activities she served 39 years in the church nursery loving the baby boys and girls. She took satisfaction in lending a helping hand as needed. Keeping abundant healthy food on the table was a daily priority as well as spiritual food.
Alice handled the routine on a busy working farm with dedication and wisdom whether out on the land or around the barns and cattle. This included a large vegetable garden from which she filled the home freezer. Her tomatoes made the best juice around and the apples she picked made the top of the list applesauce. Early on she loved gospel music and teaching on FM radio and much-loved program on and teaching on Satellite TV. as they came later. Alice believed everyone should know who Jesus is.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents 3 brothers, 2 sisters and in-laws and daughter in-law Sharon. Surviving is her husband, Louis; sons, Roy (Bonnie) and Martin (Kathleen) McDaniel; sisters, Catherine Hershey, Charlotte (Ken) Cellar and step family including great grandson, Fox; sisters-in-law, Glenna Moyers and Carol Moyers.
Services will be at Grace Brethren Church of Homerville 8992 Firestone Road, PO Box 25 (Corner of Rt 224 and Firestone Rd) Homerville, Ohio 44235 January 18, 2024 11:00 AM with Pastors Brad Kelley and George Swain visitation is 9:45 AM until 11:00 AM.
