We're all gonna miss you uncle Rod. I remember all the fun we had at the family reunions over the years and going hunting and fishing the few times I did with him.

Teaching the City Girl to become a Country Girl -
Lessons Learned:
Patience... ok I will try.
Attempt forgiveness and faith - it's a jumping-off point to continue living.
Love and Appreciate nature and everything else will follow.
There is no room for sarcasm.
Love and respect your family although their perspectives are different than yours. Each person's perspective is their reality.
Encourage the young ones in your life and don't have expectations for perfection - we are all evolving to become.... something better - and not in another's eyes.
Find a way to tolerate those that just don't get it.
Help where and when you can.
Reserve judgement (it's not your job).
Love... Always

Thank you for being the biggest part of my life - you provided the substance and fun to believe in basics. I will always be grateful.

So this one time we were doing a job out in Sacramento remodeling a restaurant and the Old Man had a couple few too many to drink and passed out early. So me and the boys started taking our bottle tops and tossing them into bed with him. Over the course of the night and many beers later, Rodney had rolled around in bed and when we woke him up for work in the morning he got up and all you could here was "tink tink tink" of all those bottle caps. He brushed of the ones that were sticking to him and he looked right at us with that damn twinkle in his eye he had and cursed us and laughed. We worked hard and played hard. Love you Old Man. I'll be seeing ya after a bit. David, Carley, Ariel, Mary, love you all and miss you. If you need anything, let me know.
