John C Corbett, 79 of Wooster died Tuesday morning September 27, 2016 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.

Funeral Service will be Saturday October 1, 2016 at 11:00a.m. at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Allen Imhoff officiating.  Friends will be received on Friday 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial in Jefferson Pioneer Cemetery, Wooster.  Online condolences may be shared at the funeral home website at mattesonfh.com.  Memorials may be given to New Pittsburg Fire and Rescue Squad, 3311 North Elyria Road, Wooster, Ohio  44691 or LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, Ohio  44691.

He was born June 7, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Victor & Emma (Hirschman) Corbett.

He farmed in Twinsburg with his father and brother before moving to Wayne County in 1960. His life was his family, dairy cows and John Deere Tractors.  He belonged to Farm Bureau and the Northeast Ohio two cylinder Club, hosting many events for the club.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Glenice (Vaughan) Corbett whom he married on June 7, 1958., son Richard(Brenda) Corbett of Wooster, daughter, Carol(David) Uhler of Wooster, grandchildren, Garrett(Jen)Uhler, Lacey(Darren)Jentes, Cody and Colton Corbett, great grandson, Javen Jentes and a great granddaughter which is due in January, brother, Jerry(Esther)Corbett of Wooster and many nieces and nephews and a family friend, Ray Rodhe.

His parents and a twin grandson died previously.
