Doyle G Fuhrman

Doyle G Fuhrman, 91 passed away peacefully on Thursday December 1, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Ashland under the care of Hospice of North Central Ohio.

Funeral Services will be Sunday December 4, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Floyd Costello officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.  Burial in West Salem Cemetery.  Online condolences may be shared at the funeral home website at mattesonfh.com.

He was born April 8, 1925 to the late Glen A and Birdie (Sprinkle) Fuhrman.

Doyle was a graduate of the West Salem High School Class of 1943.  He was a long time member of the West Salem United Methodist Church.  The family dairy farm and Fuhrman’s Sanitary Dairy were his life’s work.  After retiring from farming and the dairy, he worked for Fuhrman’s Ford and Fuhrman’s IGA being the only member of the Fuhrman family to work in all three of the Fuhrman businesses in West Salem.  Doyle was a kind and generous sole who preferred living in an earlier time when the world didn’t move so fast.

He is survived by many cousins.
