Cloyce Earl Devore (Sonny), 74, Wooster entered into eternal rest with the Lord and was reunited with his beloved wife Eloise on Thursday August 11th 2016, surrounded by family following an August 7th 2016 motorcycle accident.

Cloyce was born in Wooster March 20, 1942 to Alonzo and Lois (Spitler) Devore and was a member of Waynedale HS class of 1960.  During his high school years he was involved in FFA and woodworking.  He married his high-school sweetheart Eloise Nickle who was the love of his life on March 19, 1961 in Holmesville.  Cloyce was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He was a friend to all and loved by many.  Cloyce was a lifelong resident of the Wooster area.  He was a strong man with a gentle heart who worked the land operating the family dairy farm throughout his life.  During the 70's he operated two dairy farms, raising six children who were all involved in 4-H activities including livestock projects.

Later he worked and supervised construction for Benton Bridge and Mendel Inc., and drove truck for Bird Enterprises and Johnson Brothers Rubber, and together with his wife operated Heavenly Bodies Gift Shop.

Sonny enjoyed a lifetime of hunting, fishing, trapping, riding his motorcycle, spending time with family and friends, and helping anyone in need.  He and his wife Eloise also enjoyed attending country music performances.

Cloyce is survived by children Lisa Over of Durham NC, Andrea Yungen (Bryan) of Wooster, Floyd (Kristy) Devore of Polk, Craig (Adena) Devore of Wooster, Ryan (Lisa) Devore of West Salem, Amber (John) Kegley of Ashland, grandchildren Mitchell (Brandy) Johnson, Autumn (Nate) Tooley, Joey Over, Tiffany (Stephen) Tuck, Ember (Adam) Madsen, Kristina Wallick, Emily Wallick, Chase Devore, Tyler and Deanna Devore, and Frost and Breeze Kegley, great grandchildren Paiton, Gracie, and Isabella Tuck, Lucas and Bronson Tooley, Avery Johnson and Blayze Madsen, sisters Pat Morgan of Wooster, and Bonnie Myers of Glenmont, sister-in-law Karen Nickle of Wooster, and sisters and brothers-in-law Janice and Noel Imhoff of Wooster and Ray and Doris Nickle of Big Prairie and many other relatives and friends. In addition to His loving wife Eloise of almost 52 years, Cloyce was preceded in death by his parents, sister Crystal, mother & father-in-law Samuel & Vera (Michener) Nickle, brothers-in-law Tom Nickle and John Morgan, son-in-law Clayton Over and great grandson Blake Tooley.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday August 16, 2016 at New Hope Church Northwestern Campus 8691 Easton Rd, West Salem with viewing one hour before the funeral.  Pastor Tim Broughton will officiate.  Friends may call 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 pm Monday August 15, 2016 at the church.  Burial will be at Congress Cemetery, West Salem.
